Speak Clearly: Articulation Training
Train your mouth, tongue and breath to speak clearly — so you're understood the first time, on the phone, at the counter and in interviews.

Be understood the first time, every time
Do people often ask you to repeat yourself? Do you speak fast, mumble, or drop the ends of words? Is English your second language and some sounds feel tricky? Clear speech is a skill — and like any skill, it improves with the right practice.
This course trains the mechanics of clear speech: how sounds are made, how to warm up, and how to practise the sounds that cause the most confusion at work.
What you'll learn
- How speech sounds are made — breath, voice, jaw, lips and tongue
- A 5-minute daily warm-up and how to project your voice safely
- Clear vowels: opening your mouth and beating the mumble
- Tricky consonants: "th", v and w, r and l, s and sh, and word endings like -ed and -s
- Linking words, chunking, and saying numbers, names and spelling clearly
- Clear speech on the phone and in video calls
Included downloads
- Practice cards — word pairs, drills and tongue twisters for every sound
- Daily 5-minute warm-up
- 21-day practice tracker
- Read-aloud passages and workplace scripts
How it works
- 6 modules, 20 short lessons with mouth-position diagrams
- You'll record yourself on your phone at the start and the end, so you can hear your progress
- A short quiz after each module, and a certificate when you finish
Clarity, not accent change
Every accent is valid. This course isn't about sounding like someone else — it's about being easy to understand, in your own voice.
This course is general speaking practice, not speech therapy. If you stutter, have ongoing difficulty with particular sounds, or have voice problems, a qualified speech pathologist can help — see the first lesson for how to find one.
